Kolkata , 4 APRIL 2016 Silki Agrawal started singing at a very young age, encouraged by her father, a music enthusiast himself. She was first invited to sing “Gurumantra” at ‘The International Leadership Conference”, of Pranic Healing, which was held in Vedic Village Kolkata.Silki Agrawal’s journey toward the soul-searching art of Pranic Healing has been instrumental in her rendition of the GuruManthra. Moving to Kolkata from a small town was an arduous adjustment among which, her husband Sumeysh developed an excruciating and chronic back pain, which left him debilitated for long periods of time. At this point, that the couple was introduced to Pranic Healing, and Silki attests, “It worked like magic not just on his pain, but also in out hearts, relationships and finances. I believe it is my calling to heal and soothe others with my music and gifts bestowed upon me by my guru.

Silki states, “The biggest influences so far have been my teacher GMCKS (Master Choa Kok Sui), my father and my husband. I love listening to soulful unplugged soothing songs. Lataji, Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh are few of my favorite Bollywood singers and I also love listening to Adele because I find her music powerful yet soulful.”“Some of the songs currently on my playlist, are "Tere Bin" from the film Wazir and "Agar Tum Saath Ho" by Alka Yagnik from the movie Tamasha.
The Global Indian Music Academy award nomination is a huge honor for me. I am so excited and blessed to be nominated alongside musical stalwarts like Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, and S.P. ABOUT: Silki Agrawal was born to Dr. Arun Shah and Pushpa Shah at Muzaffarpur, Bihar. From the initial years she has loved everything to do with music, singing and dancing and has been especially drawn to soulful music.She spent her childhood in the lap of nature at Ranikhet, Uttarakhand at Ashok Hall girl’s residential school and completed her graduation from Pune University. Achieving success in academics and extracurricular activities developed her as a bright, all rounder student. She has participated and won various singing competitions.Silki is the loving wife of businessman Sumaysh Agrawal and caring mother of her 9 year old son Yashvardhan who support her talent immensely.In 2006, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui's Pranic Healing entered her life; application of the teachings transformed her immensely. She expressed her deep gratitude for her teacher by launching her first album "Guru Mantra" in 2011 at a World Pranic Healing Convention in Singapore, which sold over 4000 copies worldwide.She is a founder trustee of the service arm of Pranic Healing School called "Caring Heart Foundation, India", which helps the underprivileged become self-sustainable.
